Your first deliverable
a comparable-video teardown and a testable video plan.
You choose comparable evidence and review the plan. Video rendering, generated thumbnails and publishing are not included.
Show the comparison behind the video plan
Method in the package · synthetic examples
Record the videos you compared and keep incomplete observations visible before choosing a topic.
- Comparable set
- Declare the channel, format and publication window used for the baseline.
- Breakout
- Compare observed performance with that baseline instead of treating every high view count as proof.
- Next video
- Turn the finding into a packaging hypothesis and a testable plan.
See START-HERE.md and examples/expected-report.md. Included data is synthetic; no channel growth result is claimed.

Check the fit before buying
A creator or marketing lead deciding what to make next.
- Python 3 and the supplied input template
- Permitted observations or exports for comparisons; optional buyer-owned YouTube API supplies raw snapshots only
Start with the included example, replace its fictional inputs with your permitted evidence, then review the output. Setup and evidence collection determine the effort; no first-run duration is promised.
This purchase is not a fit if you need someone to operate the workflow for you. Consulting, setup calls and committed support hours are not included.
Updates for the life of the product are requested by email. For access help or questions about your use case and licence, email jake@jakebauman.io before buying.
Read the package documentation
What follows is the README from inside the zip, unedited. The page and the package say the same thing on purpose.
Version 1.1.0 | $499 one-time file product
Build an evidence-linked channel research report, three original title/thumbnail concepts, and a video-production and experiment handoff. Use supplied evidence offline, or explicitly opt into a bounded public YouTube Data API collector with your own account. No recurring file-access charge applies.
In the box
- Public metadata collector: channel uploads, titles, timestamps, duration, public counts and thumbnail references. It does not download images or video.
- Raw public snapshot report with timestamps, missing-data labels and a separate notes worksheet.
- Existing first-N-days cohort analyzer and CSV importer for independently supplied permitted observations/exports.
- Three-concept creative brief, original example, production handoff, video-plan writer and title/thumbnail experiment log.
- Blank templates, expected outputs, provenance, dependency/cost contract and offline security/acceptance tests.
First run: no keys or network
Python 3.10+ standard library only. Unzip in a folder you control. From this directory:
python3 tools/collect_youtube.py --channel-id UCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA --fixture examples/collector-fixture.json --output demo-snapshot
python3 tools/snapshot_report.py --snapshot demo-snapshot/snapshot.json --output demo-research
python3 tools/package_video.py --input examples/packaging-input.json --output demo-package
python3 tools/analyze.py --input examples/input.json --output demo-cohort
python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -vOpen demo-research/research-report.md, then demo-package/creative-brief.md, video-plan.md and experiment-review.md. Every example is synthetic. The cohort demo still computes 3,600 / 1,200 = 3.0x on invented comparable first-days evidence. Each writer requires a new output directory and preserves earlier runs.
Choose the evidence path
Public snapshots answer what metadata and counts were visible when captured. They are never first-N-days analytics; no API-derived performance metric is computed. The cohort path needs authentic common first-days windows and never accepts lifetime-snapshot measurement labels. The two paths have no automatic conversion. Both require human interpretation.
Follow START-HERE.md for a ten-minute entry exercise (a suggested time budget, not a measured guarantee). Read COLLECTOR.md before optional live collection, PACKAGING.md for production and experiment inputs, and API-DATA-POLICY.md before using the API.
Scope and buyer responsibilities
Thumbnail concepts and production instructions are included; image generation is an optional buyer-owned workflow with an explicit budget and separate authorization. No generated images, video rendering, API Analytics OAuth adapter, private competitor analytics, posting or channel changes are included. Python needs no AI subscription. An optional assistant or image provider uses your own account and may have usage charges. No provider allowance is included in the file price.
This release was tested with synthetic fixtures and mocked network responses. No live API authentication, actual thumbnail generation, upload, platform experiment or customer result has been verified. There is no hosted agent or automatic promise of growth.
No global install, background jobs or home-directory edits. Keep inputs private; remove only your chosen package/run directories to uninstall. See LICENSE.md, SUPPORT.md, DEPENDENCIES.md, EVIDENCE-AND-SAFETY.md and PROVENANCE.md.
